Specialist in Collective Fundamentals
Why choose this program?
This online course will allow you to become a Game Collective Fundamentals Specialist, analyzing more than 80 described and studied fundamentals. These fundamentals are divided in 2 groups, according to where they are happening and to which players are involved to solve them properly:
- Line-group Fundamentals
- Collective Universal Fundamentals
All these fundamentals are born from an extensive study out of the most common situations players have to face during a game, depending on their position or play line / play zone. After these situations are detected, we will analyze which are the best possible answers that give more success possibilities to the players.
You will have access to the content related to the team-structure dictated in our Barcelona school in the Master in High Performance Football. All of this will be available online, providing you with a unique teaching methodology using gamification and storytelling.
What should the player focus on to make the best decision in each situation? How does the coach organise these fundamentals? Which are the key concepts to achieve the correct execution of these best possible answers? What fundamentals details are essential to improve the tactical training of a player?
What will you learn?
- To detect the specific tactical moves depending on the play lines/zones.
- To know which is the best possible response a player can execute after detecting those
tactical moves, therefore creating tactical line-group fundamentals and collective universal
fundamentals. - To recognize game situations that impact on how the players on those lines/zones solve
them. - To describe in a detailed way each of these tactical situations on each line/zone.
- Develop an informed analysis capacity regarding concrete game situations.
- To take the most out of technology tools where these fundamentals can be represented.

Storytelling
Immersing yourself in a story that will lead you to recognize key aspects in the player’s performance by putting yourself in the shoes of different characters that surround the day-to-day life of a professional football club.
Overcoming
Overcoming ambitious challenges in which you will have to use technological tools to develop skills as a coach while you learn all the key ideas of each position.
Virtual Mentor
Learning from the coach, your virtual mentor, to use reflective, critical, self-critical and ethical reasoning in competitive football.
Deepening
Deepening general and specific aspects of the game of football and discovering secrets that will lead you to extra knowledge.
Online
Autonomously from home, deciding week by week at what time to access the course according to your availability, and working as a team with other coaches ... but also competing for rewards.
Course structure
The course structure is divided in 8 different modules, where we make a deep analysis about:
- Each line of play: contextualization of constellations, defensive line, middle line and
forward line. - Each game zone: contextualization, team structure, start zone, construction zone and end zone
In each of these modules the fundamentals will be presented and described. Then, small tests will be carried out to put them into practice and then take action with more complex exercises.
Finally, there will be a challenge to analyze these fundamentals during a live match. At the end of each module, small challenges will be opened with the intention of sharing and debating with the other students of the I AM MBP community.
